^^^ Yeah, I prefer the look of the R6 over the Honda in that pic. Not my cup of tea...I guess I'll be looking for a used 2007 600RR in a few years instead of a newer model. That is if I don't pimp out my bike: all chrome (including fairings), streched out swinger, neon lights, sub woofer, disco ball...

wow..thats pretty ugly...especially the pipe and the rear tail with the turn signals and plate on it...just wow...it looks like they took the two ugly things that suzuki and yamaha are doing and put it on a nice bike...

i dont like it.....there are alot of things i dont like about it, but the main ones have been mentioned.....#1 the agressive lines are gone......i dont like the exhaust, but maybe a aftermarket one would look better...the front looks smushed...too rounded, and not angular enough......

I dont like the looks of it. The front looks like a ZZR, the tail and tank look like a R1/R6, and the fairings are just rounded out. There are no more lines or deep cuts. I like the 07 look over the 08. However, it may look a lot different in person, and since they arent on the Honda website, it may not be the final outlook either. Not sure, but as of right now, thumbs down. But like VP said, it may grow on us once we see it in person or different angle

On a side note. The 600RR graffiti looks sweet.

look at the thing...nose fairing look at mickey mouse from the side,,,fairings dont look good and signal lights on the mirrors look like a gixxer wannabe....the only thing looks good is the tail..good!!! honda pulled of them the site cuz 08 is an ugly bike...hope they will redesign that mickey mouse i heardR1 gonna have a new look..i guess i have to wait for yamaha

All bike proportions are weird - short nose, short tail, long seat, long plate holder sticking out too much. Well, I even don't mention that square pipe - there is too much wrong with it :D

And I don't think they are going to make major changes to it, if any at all...

Gixxer 1k is still the leader. Way to go Honda on making another ugly bike. Last thing they ever made that looked really good in my opinion was the F4i and 954. I have never been a fan of the 600/1000RR's.

alot of negative opinions so far.we have not even seen the pics from Honda yet.who know if that is what it is.even so any changes will look funny at first but once we get used to it we will love it and talk bad about next years changes..also RICHB IN WHAT WAY IS THE GIXR 1K STILL THE LEADER?maybe the most squid ridden sport bike there is thats about it!

Here are some pics from Hondas unveiling I found on 1000rr.net. They were taken on a camera phone so quality is poor, but at least you get an idea of what the front looks like. I'm new at this so hopefully the pics will show.

Man... I think that what everybody siad is the same thing im feeling about this very ugly bike, i hope the performence is better because if it's not then Honda is taking a step back for the first time.

Also... why is Honda needing to copy the other brands? isn't this what makes Hondathe best?[:@]

A F.E. and a new pipe = SICK! I like it. The turn signals in the mirrors are awesome. If I didnt buy a new truck a few weeks ago I would of traded my 06 in for the 08. I wonder if I can fit the 08 mirrors on my 06?

Not a big fan thats gross looking. The front is ugly, the can looks stupid, and the tail is way to short . I will have to see it in person but for now definte going to get a 08 600rr. Glad I waited I don't want that in my garage.

Holy **** that is the ugliest ****ing bike ever. Even the gsxr1000 loooks wayyy better. Man I am seriously dissapointed. Thats probably the ugliest bike out of the big four. Geez louise I can't believe how much sexier the 06 looks than this peice of ****. I hope its a joke or in some way it will look better in real life.

Jesus Christ, that THING is purdy damn fugly. Not only did they "copy" some of the other companies "trademarks" but it looks like they were trying to go with the whole "retro/modern" look like some of the auto makers are doing and it just didn't turn out too well.

Now, I'm a Honda fan BUT lets face it guys n gals, Honda's completely losing their touch. Yeah, I'm sure that it performs like a dream and has the Honda reliability and so on but it's not all about that, it does have to look good. I mean if it didn't, then they'd never change the looks of fairings, etc. Another thing that makes me wonder WTF their doing behind those desk is, IMO, Honda has the most money out of the "Big 4", so why let Suzuki dominate the AMA and what looks to be Ducati/MotoGP...? Duhamel, Zemke, Hayes, Hayden and the rest of the Honda/HRC crew knows what their talking about when they give their opinion on what improvements they'd like to see on their bikes. I mean, come on Honda, you have the money to dominate, why aren't you doing it?

I've been in the golf industry for awhile now. When companies such as Titleist, Nike, Callaway and so on come out with new products (ball "logos", club designs, shirts, etc.) alot of the time they'll ask the consumers "Here's OUR design, what would you do differently?" "What improvements would you like to see done this year?" stuff like that, and then they'll make the final product based off of theleading responses, tweak it however they need to and wala...maybe Honda should start doing something like that. Ask the current CBR owners or talk to people who are serious about purchasing a bike "What would YOU like?".

For now, I'm completely satisfied with my '05 600RR. If I wanted a new bike, I'd buy a new bike but at the moment, Honda's disappointing me.
