Default 200+ Miles Today Holy S#@*

My 60 year old butt and a few other parts are still asleep. Took a ride today up over Rocky Mtn. National Park. 200 miles and change. Got rained on and at about 14,000 feet even a little snow. The old Hurricane 1000 ran like the day it was new. This is the longest ride I have done since I had my spine fused in March. My back did fine but my wrists and thumbs will never be the same again, not to mention the parts that sit on the seat. Holy crap I'm getten old.

You're only as old as you feel... so right now you must feel about 90!!

Nah, just kidding. The more you do it the easier it gets.

My hat is off to you riding at all with having your spine fused. [sm=insomnia.gif]

Nice man, and dont worry bout the pains. They will never replace the perma-grin I get :P 200 miles is quite a bit. Its hard on a "young" guy like me too (20 yrs old, 03 cbr600rr). Hope you recover and do it again.

p.s. for a bunch of old fogies, those are some good lookin bikes bwaaaahhhh :P just kidding. Nice pic, im jealous

So, does the staff at the home just let you go around riding whenever you please? Hahaha just kidding, I couldn't resist that one.

Wow that's impressive for any age if you ask me. Having spinal surgery and still riding, let alone riding 200+ miles in a day.
My hats off to you.[sm=hail.gif]

As for all the "Old fart" jokes......I hope he beats you with his walker!
You all should be ashamed!

The pain will subside eventually. Hats off to you as well for riding with the fused back! As already said, 200 miles would be hard on any of us. Gives a whole new respect to the professional riders taking on the Daytona 200, eh?

You bunch of wise guys, that IS the staff from the home.
I did however add a picture of my new side car and the biker babe that drives me around,

For those of us younger than you we can only wish we will be so lucky when we get to your age. Awesome that you still get out and enjoy life, that's the way it should be!
