+1 Crashkhanman, That is the exact reason I have to pay extra on my premium. Also I'm 20 and the full coverage for my f3 was only 1400 a year and that's with 1 at fault accident, and a speeding ticket. I ended up going with $250 deduct on comp and 0 collision coverage for $534 a year and that's with Michigan's lame *** $134 per year MCAA fee. So I must be makin out decent. Screw it if I wreck it I'll claim comp on it and say it fell off the trailer, or better yet; I hit a deer!

I'm just going to say 2 things.... I hope you have medical insurance...and part of the responsibility with riding is being able to afford Liability at minimum.
I do have medical and I don't believe in paying $1200 a year for liability on my F3 only, that's not including my F4i or XT225.

I have gone down and it was just a matter of time, but since it was in the country and no cops were called, no insurance was claimed and my medical covered my "ATV accident"

I'm gonna have to look into that Donohu40, if my rate wasn't so crazy I'd be okay with having coverage.
But liability is for the other person. I have to carry uninsured coverage because people think just like you do.
I understand Liability is for the other person. What happens if you go down around a turn and your bike slides and hit a car coming around the corner? .. How are you going to pay for damages to their car and their "claimed" injuries ?
Maybe were not on the same page. Liability coverage covers the person you hit or slide into, Thus paying for the accident you described. My uninsured insurance pays for the accident if you don't have insurance (at a higher cost to me each month)

i love insurance companies!! the highest i was quoted was $3,000 a year from state farm..the cheapest was 2,800 from geico..looks like im going to have to go with liability insurance only again..as that will still cost me $78.00 a month..looks like it may be time for the bike to go..they raised me since last year..and i havent gotten any tickets lately..but my 2 careless driving tickets raise it about 40 bucks a month..so its my fault..but i got them when i was like 15..thats crap.
What kind of bike do you have? How old are you?

Anything over 600 and the price starts to increase significantly...

Geico liability for '04 ninja 250 was $75 a month. Now my '01 VFR is $50 a month. Full was almost $200. Geico saves you on liability but thats it.

I pay $200 canadian per month in Ontario. Ontario insurance rates are known to be a total rip-off... I am 22, a couple tickets on my license and riding a 600. All of which are very bad.

In a year and a half, I can put my bike onto my policy that has my house with it and it will only be $318 per YEAR!!! YEAR! thats almost what I am paying per month right now. Insurance is ridiculous. Stupid statistically based crap.
