Default $200.00 a month for insurance.

i love insurance companies!! the highest i was quoted was $3,000 a year from state farm..the cheapest was 2,800 from geico..looks like im going to have to go with liability insurance only again..as that will still cost me $78.00 a month..looks like it may be time for the bike to go..they raised me since last year..and i havent gotten any tickets lately..but my 2 careless driving tickets raise it about 40 bucks a month..so its my fault..but i got them when i was like 15..thats crap.

That's crazy, but i'm 30 and still pay $550.00 a year for full coverage for my 2000 F4 from Progressive and I have a clean record.

If Iran an insurance company..I would struggle even insuring these things. Too many young guys crashing these days. Hopefully the accident rate goes down and we all enjoy lower rates someday [&o]

That sucks, sometimes the cost isn't worth it. Do you atleast have health insurance?

How does this vid make it worse? Everyone keeps bashing these guys but I didn't see any accidents or police anywhere near them. To me these guys looked like they knew how to ride bikes and its the newbies that have the wrecks that make insurance go up.

Wow, that vid was crazy on the highway! Yeah, insurance is a joke for me, just at liability I'd pay for both my bikes in about 2 years

looks like it may be time for the bike to go
With insurance quotes like that I would sell that thing in a minute. But these are the lessons we learn when we are teenagers. Things are worse now then when I was your age, but the lessons learned were still the same.

Here is some advice from an old guy that was once a young guy. Take the $78/month and invest it, if you don't have any mutual funds already. Put it in a fund that allows small incremental investments on a regular basis, this allows dollar cost averaging. Get an S&P fund and then an international fund and split the money. I did $210/month for 15 years and in the end I had $130,000+, that allowed me to buy my house without a mortgage. If you don't know how that feels it is like the best blowj*b you have ever gotten and it lasts a very long time. Trust me, you can always spend your money, but you have only once chance to save it.
