Default 1st mod to your bike

whats up everyone , well i have been riding for only about 3 months now and gotta say im in love. i ride a 1997 CBR 600 F3 . its all stock except for some flush mounts the previous owner did. i am starting to want to customize my bike because my background is heavy with customization with all my previous cars. i want to know what was everyones 1st mod or their best mod they did. also if you dont mind give a reason behind it .

thanks !
Robert

BTW: im leaning towards a yoshi pipe for my 1st

Body work....AKA battle scars, i crashed it so i think that was my first mod!

But as for an actual mod it would be on the "rebuild" i installed flushmounts.

Definately a slip-on. Serves many purposes. It's a safety tool, a asthetic add on, and decreases weight. Not to mention it grabs the attention of all those cute girls, and starts you on your way to a whole set of other mods (i.e. int tailight, FE, rear hugger, etc...)

first thing i do is chop the fender... then i give it a good look over and decide if i should peel off decals or not and add decals or not. The pipe usually waits till year 2.

on my old RR... HAD to get rid of the rear fender so you could see the undertail better then after that... slip-on!!

i guess that really depends on if you get something new that has no mods already. my bike has none, but needs a ton of work. i am swapping the tail and painting before anything else, so i guess body. but if it was new, it would be sliders, then exhaust, then everything else.

Exhaust, sounds better, looks better, feels better, safer, gets more attention, scares more people. after that, i did undertail, frame sliders, tankpad, flushmounts, screen, hugger, threw on some rim tape, polished rear lip, barends. got an alarm as well. next up, probably brakes, i want to get new discs and braided lines. and rearsets.

what is everyones oppion on the steel braided brake lines ? are they really worth it ? my friend has it on his 1k RR and he said yes but i want to get other peoples opinon too. it makes sense that they would help but for normal riding through traffic and occasional mountian passes would it be worth it for me to upgrade ?
