Default 1998 CBR900rr or 1999 CBR F4 600???

Alright everyone. I'm a new street style rider and about to purchase a bike. I'm extremely cautious when I used to ride but I don't want a sluggish bike on the freeway. Here are my choices and I would love feedback.

1999 CBR F4 600 - $2700 - 30k miles

1998 CBR900RR - $3500 - 28k miles

Please help me decide.

You won't have a sluggish bike on the freeway with either one of those.

B-i-g + 1! As an F4 owner, I can tell you that its def not 'sluggish'. ;-)

Not that you're not incapable but you as a 'new rider', I would recommend going w/ the 600. It will be more forgiving. Also, insurance will be cheaper. :-)

EDIT: Looking at your New Member intro... Thought you already owned the 900. ???

Just looking at the two choices, I know you like the yellow one.....+1 gotcbr a 600 is more forgiving...but at the same time, both have the same potential risk. Would they let you test ride?

You said you are new rider? How new? Have you taken the MSF courses yet.....like we mentioned previously, rather have a rider that completed the MSF course on a bigger bike, than a new rider that never taken the MSF course on a smaller bike.

both bikes are great, and their weight is near identicle, + mods.....

Zaqwert6 will like the yellow one....LOL

Split seat over banana seat anyday ^.^ just saying.

Otherwise, everyones pretty much said it. Neither will be sluggish, ones a little cheaper and more forgiving, but on the one hand one will let you grow into it, instead of out of it.

The F4 banana seat is easily converted to split-seat. You obviously haven't seen my tutorial. ;-)

Complete misnomer... You won't 'out grow' the F4. Street riders will never use the true full potential of the F4's abilities.
