RE: My Highside Accident today w/pics
Dammit Darrell!!
You really did some damage to that bike! I am glad you are ok. Good luck on the parting back together, looks like it will be in the garage for a while. Your crash definately tops mine. Let me know if there is anything you need, or need help finding.
Get better soon, i know how you feel when you say everything aches. I was like that too. Sounds like we did the same thing, except you highsided and i lowsided, but tumbling through the weeds seeing blue, green, blue, green brings back memories. Keep us in touch with the outcomes of insurance, to see what is next after the recovery.
Now stop reading this and go ice those wounds!
on the plus side, you got a sick scar to show the ladies now!

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. I'm extremely lucky I was able to get up and walk up to the road. Gear is a definate must! Had I been just wearing jeans or whatever, it would've been a whole lot worse!
The bike is fully insured, so I'm not even worried about it. It just pains me to go into the garage and see it's oil still dripping out and the pieces in a pile. I still can't believe I did that, in fact, I think it was my first thought once getting airborne lol, then the next thought was when am I going to stop tumbling, then came am I going to hit anything? It was an interesting chain of events. Cool thing was my ipod was still playing, they're pretty tough suckers lol. Whatever song that was, I'm deleting it.
Been hopped up on pain killers and muscle relaxers all day, couldn't fall asleep this morning until about 9 or 10. Took me an hour to maneuver out of bed to take more pain meds and to hit the bathroom before it was too late...and it was a close one! Just got up now and it took another hour to climb out. It hurts to put on pants, so I might not wear any!
