New to the site,I was looking at purchasing another 954, but would like to see what you guys think. A good friend of mine is selling a bike with 3400 miles, but a rebuilt title. He has the bike registered here in florida and all is good.(VIN is good too).Bike wasORIGINALLY was purchased in N. Carolina(Around there)and the previousbuyer lived in Fl, went to Dmv to register the bike in florida, but didnt have the bike with him. They say they can not verify the miles, thus the rebuilt title. Bike is not stolen and i am confident that my friend is not going to screw me in any way. This is where i would like to see what you guys think. I am getting a decent deal on it considering the title situation. Also i dont see how somebody couldmess with the miles, leaving me to strongly believe that the miles are actual. It is very very clean for the year.Again the bike is registered under my friendsname and had no problem getting it registered. Title came with in a week to him. I know this seems weird but please let me know what you think.

You could replace the guages and thus reciving a different amount of miles.

If you've looked over the bike, rode it, like it, and trust your friend ... go for it. You said you wont haveany troubles registering it in your name so thats good.

 

Yes i do feel comfortable with it just being the person i am dealing with. Like i said he has it registered and titled,Meaning and hopingi will have no problem doing it as well. Ill post a few pics. Let meknow what you think[IMG]

haha.. i did this..

here you go.. i live in ny.. and bought my bikes here and register them in oklahoma.. all you have to do to verify the mileage is get a law enforcement officer to type "on official letterhead" that he personally verified the vin# and mileage.he also hasto sign it and put his badge number and dept. and you have to send that letter in.. to whom ever tags your vehicles in whatever state your in..
