I personally also don't see much value in reducing the handling characteristics ...

Its only a four inch stretch. And yes, I plan on taking it to the track a few times. I take my cars out to the track every now and then, but ive never rana bike down it.And I think it makes it look better anyway. To each his/her own

The stretched swing arm will not make it handle any better
...actually it will make the handling worse

The OP did also say that it's his personal preference and he thinks the extended swing arm looks better. I personally don't like them, but my brother says.. Like OP says, "to each their own".

I live in Dothan. Pretty much at the bottom of Alabama.
I got the chain put on and my Shinko tires! My stator has'nt came in yet but maybe tomorrow.
