Default YAY!!! potential riding buddies...

New face to this forum, just wanted to say hello and find out who the nice and responsive people are. Just bought a 04' CBR 600rr and am looking for other HoNDa riders to ride/race/help fix & mod bikes with. But be warned, am new to this whole fuel injected twitch and burn rubber of a bike so i might be a bit unstable at first... hahaha... yeaaa...

the good old carbs...

I appreciate your enthusiasm ... really I do. But unless you ride down to Jawga I'm thinkin we won't be doing much riding together Congrats on your new ride.

Here's a hint for twitchy fuel injection -- keep throttle cable play to a minimum. You know, tighten it up so that it responds quickly but not too tight. While idling turn the bars full lock both ways and idle should remain the same. If it revs doing this then it's too tight.

That is quite the jump PERFORMANCE wise...a 250 Ninja is fun, but things happen way faster than they used to on the new bike...at least you are taking logical steps in your bike selection and you didnt go out and get a 1000.
I see you are in Oakland?? I live in the Sacramento area myself, so maybe if it EVER stops raining we can hook up for a ride sometime!!

Welcome to the board. Don't think we will get a chance to ride but, if you ARE in the area, hit me up and I can show you what those "good ole carbs" can do with a little TLC! Be safe!!
