I'm new to this street bike scene, I have a 97 Cbr f3 street fighter style( bought her that way) it's a scary machine, any tips on cornering? That seems to be my biggest hurdle!

Welcome to the CBR Forum,

For cornering find either the video or books from Keith Code. Called 'A twist of the wrist'. Timeless stuff, I learned over 15 years ago from his books - and don't fall off too often

Cheers, SB

Thanks will do!! Also another question, the issue with the throttle screw falling out, how bad can that be? Will it cause extra wear on my engine? Seeing I have to manually keep it at 1500 rpm manually! Which is a big pain! Any info will be appreciated! Especially where I can get a replacement!!!

first time i rode a sport bike i practiced turning in a nearby neighborhood..i specifically remember it feeling extremely heavy and hard to turn.

+1 for keith code books. awesome and easy to understand

Idle screw falling out has happened to me before, found a random piece from my tool box that fit until I limped to my local bike shop. They can get it for sure

If by throttle screw you mean the throttle stop screw - it should just be a 4 (or 5) mm metric thread. Easily replaced just check the thread pitch (try a few screws in the hole) and get some from your local hardware store. Also get a nut so you can lock the screw in position.

Not even from a bike but the picture shows how it should be set up.

Cheers, SB

Welcome to the forums,

Good choice of bike! Tips for cornering, i'd say try to be nervous and keep yourself loose-ish. It's surprising how far these things can go over if we need them to.

Amazon has Twist of the Wrist I and II for about $13 each and both are eligible for free super saver shipping. They are both on one of my wish lists and will be getting purchased in the near future.
Just a heads up there.
