Default Whats going on!

Names Greg. I live in Key West, FL, will probably be here another 2 more years before I retire from the Navy and move back home to Middle TN.

Figured I would join up and learn a few things about the CBRS. I'm getting a 05 CBR600F4i next week. It will be my first Honda but not my first bike.

Kinda high mileage (23K), but for $2K, new tires and battery, its a decent deal (I think it is anyway) and the money is going to the FOP in Nashville where I'm from.

It looks to have been lowered. So that will be the first thing I fix after I get it. Ive never lowered a bike, only cars, so I dont know how to reverse it but I'll figure it out.

Hey man! Welcome to CBRF! Thanks for your service to our country. Key West, huh? That is a pretty good deal on the CBR. I used to live in SWFL and would drive/ride to Key West a couple of times a year. How do you like riding there? I'd have WAY too many tickets if I lived there with the speed limits and FHP on the roads there. (Although, I liked the 7mi bridge).

I'm glad they found and caught the guy that stole your R6. I hate thieves - and you'll find that sentiment a lot here.

Honestly the Riding here sucks, its why I sold my R6. Its stop and go, a 35 mph speed limit and construction galore (right now). I miss riding all together so would rather be on 2 wheels than just wishing I was.

Welcome to the CBR Forum,

And thanks for the photos and story - particularly your stolen/recovered bike. Not enough of this happens!

Cheers, SB

I'll be somewhere between Nashville and the 'Boro mostly when I do return.

Thanks. The really bad part, I only had it 2 weeks and 100 miles before it got jacked. Only reason mine was found was because a GSXR that was stolen had Lojack on it. They found ours and 2 other bikes.

I could have bought it back in the shape it was for $1500 from the Ins company, but I didnt have the cash at the time to do it.

Welcome to CBRF... Impressive collection of rides... Nice lookin' F4i... That bike should serve you well... Sorry to hear the you suffered the dreaded R6 curse... Glad to hear that you would suffer poor riding conditions that not riding at all... Thanks for the pics... We are proud to have you onboard...
