haha, badass. I've been on this website for a about 6 months now and the topic about weather or not the 600 makes a good beginner bike has come up a few times. Some people will tell you to start on something smaller like a 250, and others will tell you that the 600 is the perfect bike to grow with. I myself learned to ride on a 250 but my first self purchased bike was the 600. If you ask me, I'd say go with your gut feeling and buy what you want to buy. Just take it easy forthe first few thousand miles... Sounds like much but when you're out there every day they add up fast.
It doesn't matter if you're on a 250, a 600, a 1000 or 1000000, If your not use to the bike and not paying attention to your surroundings, Chances are you might be going down.
As for the F4i being a track-able bike, It is very much duable. Lots of people ride there F4i's on the track then ride it home afterwards, Just as the RR is more track oriented do to the stiffer suspension and more aggressive stance but it's still riden on the street by most RR owners.
They both have there pros and cons but it is all up to you on which to buy. I suggest you try ( if possible ) and ride both to help you on your decision. If not possible, At least sit on both to see which one feels "right" for you.
I think I don't know what I'm talking about but I hope this helps. :P

I'm one of those that started on a 600 because I didn't want to "trade up" later. Then, I consumed ALL the information I could get my hands. I read books on riding techniques, searched the web, took the MSF, talked to all the experienced riders I knew, etc. I think you have to be very, very careful, and mature when you ride. Your preservation is the key. I have an F4i, and ithas a very comfortable stance for a sportbike. Also, it has more power than I canevenuse. You'll find that they are cheaper to pick up than an RR. That being said, I drool everytime I see an RR. They are gorgeous, and pack a wallop! Good luck with your decision.

thanks for yals opinions. ive had more people tell me to get a 600 take all the courses and just take it easy and get the turning thing down goood haha since i found out the first time i rode a street bike.. they dont turn just like a dirtbike hah, but then again i can jus throw a dirtbike around no problem.
i think ill look for an f4i if it is more comfortable on long trips, since i will be visiting my friend in lubbock in the fall and thats a 10hr drive from houston haha.

and another question. are any of yal on here from thehouston(tx) area, or even Austin(tx)?
