Default what's the diff between 600 and 600rr?

Maybe a dumb question, but I know nothing about the Honda brand, and I'm curious exactly what they change

There is no more just 600 they just make the RR now. The RR means Really Racey! No I don't know but the RR was the new racing bike. It has a more agressive riding position (clip ons are under the tripple where on the F4i they are above) and I believe the foot pegs are higher up and back farther. It also has a little more powerful engine I guess.

Welcome to the site! Are you currently looking for a bike, and would it be your first street bike? If so, I would encourage you to look at a 600 F4i before a 600RR. The RR is the current race bike for Honda, and the F4i was the "user friendly" version they made at 600cc's. They stopped making it in '06, but it is a great, comfy, all purpose, daily rider. The '07 is more comfortable, and is the hands down favorite 600cc bike for all the bigs...but if you are looking for a first ride, I would go with an F4i or a nice F3 or F2...keep us posted.

One more difference in the F4's and RR is the RR has a second set of injectors that dump in more fuel when you twist the throttle to around 8000 RPM. Different suspension set up and rider position are the most noticable.

RR means "race replica".... you should know what they mean.
Without RR is a sports touring bike. (mostly same but emphasis on relaxed driving position)

To call an F series bike a sports tourer is a little misleading. It was Hondas class racer for a while, and I believe it was successfull at it. The RR is hard edged..too hard edged for me, that is why I got the F4i.

The F4i is more like the Honda S2000 and the RR is like a Lotus Elise. Just like neither vehicle is great for cross country (the Honda is a little better), both are at home autocrossing at the track (the Lotus is a little better).

I have heard that people change motorcycles every three years, whichever you choose you'll only have for a little while anyway...good luck.

good call fishfryer527 the F4 is still a great fast bike on the street or track. Most people aren't good enough riders to even use the RR's potential anyway. But I still went with the RR : )
