ABS has its pros and cons. Don't beat yourself up too bad, we have all made the same mistakes. Those new tires probably contributed more than you think. A little late to say now, but when I scrub in new tires, I always leave a pretty big margin in front of me so I can brake slower. Ins company will fix it up and in a month it won't matter, so don't sweat it!
