Default VF and CB Owner new to CBRs...

Hello all...

My name is chris and im from the great white north (Canada eh? lol) Anyways...I am also a member of SOHC/4 and have been pointed in this direction for more info on the CBR models. I have been considering getting a newer bike to go with my CB550K and VF750F Interceptor. I have been looking at the early CBR models (Hurricane, F2 and F3) and would like to know more about them. THe main reason im looking at the earlier bikes is because of the less agressive riding position that im hoping is simular to that of my VF. Im also looking at my budget for such a purchase hence another reason for looking at the older machines.

The Interceptor is a great bike to ride..responsive to each rider imput placed upon it..though it does take a skilled rider to get the most out of the machine. Funny enough theres an upgrade for the old VF Interceptors that retrofits CBR F2 wheels to it to allow for the use of the same tires as the CBR. One thing that would be kinda cool is if i got an F2 and did the CBR Upgrade to the VF then i could have spare sets of tires on rims and be able to swap them around between the two bikes. Im thinking the machines im mostly focused on is the F2 and the early Hurricane...i know they are the early models but are they good bikes none the less?

The new RRs are wicked bikes..personally wouldnt own one but then again i dont like the idea of if some smuck taps it while its parked it could be easily totaled off due to the cost of the plastics

Get aF-bike (I am not sure how the riding position is different throughout the f-series)with Heli-bars, I just put them on myF4i and it makes a compfy bike, more compfy. It seems to be the ticket if you have a lot of straight lines to cover like I do here in Florida. Welcome to the site.
