So I started in this forum a couple of months ago with my mind set on getting a 900RR for a first bike. https://cbrforum.com/m_370291/mpage_.../tm.htm#370291 Long story short... took my MSFcourse, bought my gear, got my license anddecided to start with something a little more on the beginner friendly sidebutat the same timesomething I could ride for a long time without getting bored... so today I got me a bone stock (except aaerobubble smoked screen)04 600RR black/gray graphics with 4900miles for $5800. Already rode it home in light traffic at about 60mph(speed limit 55) and its a lot of fun. Pics comming soon.

Its not bad pricefor Central Texas.One of the biggest ARMY bases ishoused in the townI live inand stuff around hereare a bit pricey cause most soldiers that come back from Iraq with all this money don't even look at price tag.I just talked to the guy that sold it to me and he told me he's still getting phone calls from "buyers" trying toget it.

 

Thanks! Its a lot of fun. I don't regret the choice I made at all but I think I would've been OK with the 900RR. Me and a friend of mine went riding and he let me ride his 06 limited Hayabusa and I did pretty good with it. Itseasy to handle and controlas long as you don't give her more than a 1/4 turn on the throttle and keep it below 7k rpms. Don't get me wrong though... I am not saying its a good beginner bike... its just not as bad as a lot of people say it is plus most of the power would go to waste.
