Default Second time around

Hi There,

Ken here! I'm on my second CRB600F4. My first one was unceremoniously taken from me when a car pulled in front of me on my way home one day. I always had a soft spot for the F4 and wanted to get another so now I just picked up a well used one for 1/3 the cost of my first one! A new steering head bearing and cam chain tensioner (APE) later and I'm good to go!

I live in the Knoxville area so we've already been back to "The Gap" and hope to head over to "The Triangle" tomorrow.

Between my first and second CBR I've had several liter-bikes so I'd forgotten what a hole in the torque curve there is at 5000! But boy, keep it above 7000 and who needs low-end torque!

Anyway, glad to be back and see you on the road.

Ken

Welcome to the forum Ken.
The 600 will be more forgiving while cornering, in case you've forgotten.

Thanks! Yeah wheeling it around the garage is a whole lot easier than my FZ1!

Welcome aboard Ken. Nice to add another F4owner to,our ranks. Seems we've lost a few F4 members lately for whatever reasons.

I've got an F4 as well. It's my go everything bike. Its easy to whip around in the twisties or do sport-touring w/ it.

Good to have you w/ us.

Thanks guys. I recognized even when I got my first one that it is the last of the "classics" - carburetors, full dashboard with analog gauges and comfortable ergonomics.

The previous owner of this one has done the usual fender eliminator/integrated brake/turn signals and a inner fender liner. Call me old-fashioned but I want the original big orange indicators. The big issue is that their mount has now been cut away for the fender eliminator. Any ideas where I can locate an original fender and complete light kit (all 4 turn signals and the license plate light)?

Thanks,

Ken
