Saw someone drop their bike (kinda)
Hey all. I was at lunch today and someone on what looked like a black R6 pushing his bike into a jiffy lube bay. He did not look like he worked there, but insteadlike he wanted them to change the oil. I started walking into BK, when I realized I parked on the line. So I head back to my truck to straighten her up and look at the bike again and all I see is a horizontal rear tire! He dropped his bike trying to push it into the bay! The workers appeared to help him stand it back up, and then he turned around and rode away. (After yanking off a dangling rearview mirror)
He was wearing shorts and sandles, so he's lucky it didnt land on his foot.
I always sit on my bike when I move it, he was standing beside it. Does anyone here ever stand beside their bikes to push them? Seems like a bad habbit to me.

Yea i tried to push mine while standing beside it one day when i first got my bike. It's really easy to get off balance to the other side. Once it starts going down you cant stop it. It's not safe to do at all if you like your fairings all nice and un-scratched. So def. a bad habit IMO.

That was hilarious! It almost fell in there like a piece of toast in a toaster.
Before I did the seat conversion and still had that handy rear grab bar I would push the bike around. But now it's not so easy, so I try to move it while sitting on it.
I also try to keep from having to move it by hand whenever possible, by doing things like backing into sloping parking spots.
