Robster...saying hello from South Australia!
Greetings to all the CBR forum members out there in the "world wide web"!
This is Robster dropping in to introduce myself.
I have been lurking around the site for sometime now, since being provided with the link to Sebastionbear and Mrs SB's "Hunting Uncle Ho - Vietnam Journey"....where we inevitably, and possibly even regrettably became addicted to this forum!
I have recently (at the tender age of 48) obtained my Learners. My intention was to purchase a CBR125R to learn on.......until I was rather "gently" persuaded by Seb and Mrs SB to seek a bigger bike with more power etc.....
So......I heeded their advice, and set my sights on 250, preferably a Honda of course!
Now for the bad news.........I very, very reluctantly announce this publicly on the CBR forum..........but I have been lured over to the "dark side" and purchased a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250R (only yesterday!)
Now, take it easy on me......(not too many Honda 250's around at present). My new bike is just gorgeous and she has already had her name bestowed upon her (by my partner, I might add!). Her mame is "Nigella Ninja".........I'II let your imaginations determine how her name evolved!
We are friends of, and live a very short distance from Seb and Mrs SB in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, South Australia.
Seb appears to be a very "naughty boy" on this site (and Mrs SB is just as incorrigible!).......so if nothing else, I feel it is my duty to become an active member of the forum and attempt to keep Seb on the "straight and narrow" Mmmmmm........I hear a ringing in my ears......."good luck with that one"!
This is becoming very long winded......so time to sign out!
Cheers,
Robster

Hey Rob - a very warm welcome to the CBR Forum,
Glad you got it all sorted and got your first post up! Now to get you to post a pic of Nigella (the bike of course!!).
The pictures you sent to Mrs SB's phone show a very, very nice, tidy bike. I think you bought well.
Now gear up, and get on the road!!
Cheers, SB
PS: Love the avatar

Welcome to the forum Rob.
If you're hanging with the bears, you're in good company. I'm sure you know that already. I figure you can't get enough of him in real life, so you thought you would get some here too!
Don't worry about owning a Kawi, all are welcome here. The tech stuff is mostly geared towards CBRs, but the social stuff is manufacturer blind. It's 2 wheels vs. 4 as far as I'm concerned and I know which side you're on.

Hi SB,
I've got a smile from "ear to ear" just at this very moment, infact it's probably radiating all the way over to Mt Pleasant!
Thanks for posting pic of "Nigella Ninja"............in all her black glory!
Best you show me how to post pics before the cider though....... cos, over or after a cider or two, my concentration span seems to fade!
Again, thanks for your help SB, and to all the members who have offered a warm welcome!
Cheers,
Robster
