Default rebuilting 96 cbr 900rr

can anyone tell me if wheels from any cbrs fit universally. i am rebuilting a cbr 900 that was trashed. i have limited cash. i need to replace the front wheel bented badly, still keeps air. the new ones are too $$$$. i have found some on ebay from cbr 600s will that fit my 96 cbr 900? thanks

what about finding a local shop that can just fix the ones you have now

thanks for the invite. i am pretty new to the bike scene. i have to be honest it was due to the gas price that i looked into this and since we had a cbr in the garage that my ex-brother in law left unpaid for i decided why not and thus far it is AWESOME. but alot of $$$$$$$$ just to get it to run.

Sounds like you are "earning" your bike. I bought mine new, and have done a few mods but, you will have a greater sense of pride in your bike, because of all the hard work you are putting into it. Make sure to check out the general tech area, and the F4i section (and the off topic section for laughs). There are many people who have a ton of knowledge to share...I amjust not one of them...

just look around for local motorcycle shops and give them a call and see if they do rim straightening . if you were local i could help you out better but SLC is just a wee bit distane from sac. but im sure you'll get it up and running in no time. i also had a 96 900RR before i got my 929RR, great bike if you ever need help ill do my best

you'll find this funny but my family resides in sactown and i just picked this cbr up from there in this trashed up condition last week

ahh no kidding . well there is a guy over on el camino blvd who fixes bent rims. ill ask my buddy what exactly his name and where he is but if you come this way just bring the rims with ya lol what part of sac is your family in ? also just curious but are you and elder ?

i am, kind of a question only a certain religion is familiar with. are you an elder? my fam is from the natomas area. more like norwood area. i actually grew up in idaho. u?
