Default Question about 2015 CBR 300R

G'day! I bought a 2015 CBR 300R about 6 months ago and I have noticed my right shoe is becoming filthy, really dirty, and I'm not sure why. They are white shoes and it's only the right one becoming dirty. I was thinking it might be some sort of exhaust air coming out the right side of the engine? Does anyone know why this is? Thanks!

Weird. The exhaust, if on correctly, should not be venting onto your shoe and, if it were, I'd imagine that foot would get extremely warm. Might be a leak on one of your down pipes combined with some weird airflow dynamics. I'd check over them for any leaks.

Hey mate thanks for the response. Is there an easy way I could check for a leak myself or is it something I should get a mechanic to check out? I got my bike serviced six weeks ago as well. Thanks

You can do it! Remove the side fairings and look all the pipes over with a good light, especially any clamped areas. Might be as simple as tightening up a couple of bolts or a clamp. If you have a hole in one of 'em, you'll need to replace it. If you don't see anything obvious, give the bike a start and listen. It shouldn't be too hard to hear if there is a leak somewhere.

If you really want to "get into it", check out a parts diagram while the fairings are off and see how much stuff you can identify. Might come in handy the next time a strange problem occurs!

Good luck!
