If so, do you think there is any possibility that the "ignition pulse generator" near the timing rotor was bumped or damaged/disconnected?...this could sure cause some headaches...

As far as the battery goes, buy/borrow a good battery LOAD tester and check it with the cables goin to the bike removed...if you put a load on it, it will show you the integrity of the battery, not just the amount of charge.

The crank case I'm referring to is on the left side of the bike, the part that shows through the fairings that says Honda... thanks for the advice what do you mean by "... cables going to the bike removed"?. I've done some more searching and have found that if I remove the current battery, which I'm now sure is dead, and connect a big car battery with the same voltage, using cables, I can route the cables in such a way that would test different electrical components of the bike individually to help isolate the problem. I'm pretty certain there is a short somewhere though, or a blown fuse especially after my turn signal mishap. Thank you again Adam, I'm positive that with enough dedication and my new family here at cbrforum she will be up and running before long!

Thanks for the love folks ... Unfortunately I had my first moving accident earlier today, thank God nobody else was involved and nobody, myself included, was injured. I did manage to break part of my tail fairing lol, but the frame slider saved the bike from any serious damage. #sigh you live and you learn. I'll be doing a write up of my incident so as to share my experience.
