Yes I hooked up the lever first and then try to adjust it all the way out and it will not reach the lifter arm.

 

Routed correctly? Try it with your old lever, then ull know if its ur new lever thats the problem

 

It is rooted the same. Well the old levers broke in a wipeout. Lol I may just replace the cheapies anyway so I'll try that b4 I take cover back off.

 

Here are the levers I got. Is it maybe the perch assembly on them? I went back and looked at the Ebay order and it says the part is compatible, but then in the description it says fits most 125cc to 400cc sport bike???

 

Hard to tell from photo, it looks like it could work but if the clutch cable end point is a little different from the original that would definitely make the cable too tight to put on. Where did u break the lever? I would still try ur original levers if u can just so ull know for sure its ur new lever/perch. Also this may be a far, far shot but ru able to fit ur new lever into ur old perch?
If u confirm its ur new lever setup thats the problem, u will just have to get a new lever/perch or simply a longer clutch cable (depending on which ones cheaper/easier to get for you)

 

alright, so had to hang up the project for a bit but got back to it. I actually had to remove the locking nut closest to the lever then the cable was finally able to reach, dont guess i necessarily need it but i think it was just .25" to thick. And also clutch is now dis engaging. Thanks for all responses, getting a little closer to riding again.

 

I've had that locking nut get loose on the highway (vibrated out I guess) and then there was nothing holding the slack adjuster so my cable went maximum slack. At first I thought my cable snapped. I guess it might not matter for you if it's at maximum slack already, but I would definitely keep an eye out on it juuust in case
