Default please help!!!

hi folks. im new to the forum, i have joined to see if i can get some vital info about my year 2000 cbr 600f.the sixth gear in my bike is buggered/knackered. no one ive been talking to has ever heard of this happening, but it has so whats my best fix?
i think its to buy a second hand engine. drop the original one out and replace?
my problem is i cant put my hands on an engine of the same year 2000. i can get a 2003 but will my carburettors fit the manifold and will the engine fit the bike with out too much modification?

hi and welcome
sorry to hear about your problems. if you get over to the CBR 600F4 - CBR Forum - Enthusiast forums for Honda CBR Owners section to say hello and post up your problems. dont quote me on it but the 2003 engine is an f4i injected, wether the bottom end and gearbox is the same im not sure, but a post asking in general tech may answer your question

Welcome to the CBR Forum Richie,

The guys in the 600F section (or F2/3) may have the answer to your conundrum. Pop up a post in that section and see what happens.

Good luck with it.

Cheers, SB
