Default only girl CBR rider in findlay :D

Hey everyone! I'm Kim from ohio and I have a 2000 600 F4 that I bought about 2 months ago. I'm swapping out the old junked fairings for new ones (pics to be posted later). If anyone could help me out by figuring out the fairing bolt sizes (so I don't have to buy over-priced ones) it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

just take one of the old bolts to a hardware store and match up the size and threads and you will be good to go. I did that on my old F2 and it worked awesome.

I second this method.

Did this for the screws that hold the seat down. They even have hex metric bolts you can buy, absolutely awesome.

thanks! only issue I have is not all the bolts are there...when I first bought the bike it was covered in red velvet..yes, velvet fabric. As soon as I brought it back, we took off all the fabric only to reveal some of the original yellow fairings (I knew this going in that I would have to get new fairings) and that all the bolts were not there. So its been fun trying to figure out exactly how many of each size I need.

So you have NONE of the fairing bolts? If that is the case, that truly sucks. You can probably try a local moto shop and order one of the bolts and then use that to get the others. Can also try finding someone with the same bike close to you, lol

A good site I like to check out is www.bikebandit.com. They have schematics for almost all bikes showing what bolts go where.

You can probably figure out how many of each type bolt you will need for the fairings.

instead of quoting everyone..which me being new this idk if I press "quote" and that can work on all 3..but anyways!
*I do have some of the bolts they were just rusted, and not nearly enough as what should be on the bike...its turning out to be more of a project bike than anything haha
*that site is extremely helpful! thanks so much..I was hoping to put the new fairings on this weekend
*Yes..velvet..and of course I have before and after pics! I just don't want to put them up until its fully completed.

**All of you were extremely helpful..so thanks

welcome to the forum!!!! I believe the bolt size is m6, usually 1/4 inch long but like the other guys said your best bet is to go to the hardware store and match it up
