Default Old CBR guy

Hi, I am new to the forum but not new to the CBR - had a few over the years!

Just picked up a nice track prepped 1998 one which has been used for sprints and hillclimbs and my intention is to get back on to track days again. Had to sell my last track bike 2 years ago due to moving jobs but the wife has given me permission again

Currently riding an old ZX10 on the road...

Hopefully catch with some of you guys on the track...

John

Welcome to the forum.

Which model did you get? 900rr?

Our members populate tracks all over the world. Which track will you be at?
Let's see your bike! Get up a pic of it soon.

Welcome to the CBR Forum John,

And just what exactly is old???

There's quite a few of us (well) seasoned riders on the forum.

Cheers, SB

If your old, you will fit right in, especially with the hurricane buggers.

Thanks for the welcome guys...firstly I am 58 but it is just a number! The only time I notice my age is when I hurt myself and it takes ages to recover but apart from that I love a challenge and nothing more challenging than on a track trying to keep up - and sometimes passing - the youngsters

The CBR is a 1998 600 - reworked forks by MCT. Nitron Shock. PFM cast discs with quick release rotors. Very shiny bodywork. Remus system. Dynojet and valve clearances set etc etc.

The Kwacker is a 1988 ZX10 B1. I rebuilt this last year and been to Holland and Germany on it and never missed a beat. Put renthals an and highered the bar psoition for more comfort. Went to Cadwell the other week but it too big to throw around thus the CBR.

Very nice indeed!

I too have a soft spot for older Kawasakis!

Cheers, SB
