Cool Noob to the site from Ozralia

Hi all. Just signed up to the site in Adelaide South Australia and I was wondering if anyone knows of any clubs/groups for our beloved CBR's. As the proud owner of a new 2012 1000RR I am hoping to find a group of riders in my area who are willing to go out riding and to share their experience's and local knowledge.

Welcome to the forum.

Adelaide South Australia?... I'll turn this over to Sebastionbear. He knows all about there!!

Settle in and enjoy the reading. You will run across many from down under, all good peeps I might add. Most seem to ride 1000fs though.

Well welcome to the CBR Forum,

Nice weather we're having today huh? Had to drive around the fallen trees on my way into town this morning. Best way to hook up with riders in Adelaide is to either drop into the Amberlight Café at Lobethal, or the Garage at Strathalbyn. I gave up riding in groups a decade or so ago, as a few of the guys back then went and got themselves killed.

There is also a Hills Café Racer Club - can't remember the name at the moment. Drop me a PM when you can and I'll look up the info for you. Happy to catch up some time, but I'm but a sedate ( ) CBR1000F rider these days.

Cheers, SB

I never said I was a boy racer, lol, I'm way to old to be that. Besides which I'm still running the bike in so .......
but all that aside cool, nice to meet you, thank you for the information and yeh, the weather is, um, yeh it is. Have to take the bike in for its first service (600 km) today and I'm not looking forward to it, rofl.

I'm stunned at how many aussies there are here. If it's OK with you I will add you all as contacts.

And Im also only looking for a couple of people to ride with, Im not really interested in large "toy run" type rides although I did enjoy last years "toy run" .

Not a problem.

I've only been a member since May last year but have made some great friends on the site - and met a few, Naga_Thai from Melbourne and visited Kiwi TK earlier this year in UnZud.

Great Blokes all round.

We're planning an assault on the TT next year if you're interested

Cheers, SB

And about the TT trip, I guess it depends a lot on how much its going to cost all up. I'm still trying to recover from purchasing the bike, lol.

Gday Miss Steak I'm residing in Gosford NSW these days, on the right side of the equator just the wrong side of the country. I'll let u know if I take my FireBlade 2 SA 1 day, the emu factor worries me a little. Regarding Sebastionbears TT assault its 1 of those things you have 2 do, I went over with my dad in 03 and it is absolutely indescribabley awesome, tv footage doesn't do it justice!
