Default Noob from KY

Hey everyone, just joined and thought I'd start an into thread. I picked up a busted up broken down F2 600 that was a stunt bike and I'm slowly turning it into a StreetFighter. I paid $300 for it so I can't complain. I put some time and a little money into and got her looking decent enough to ride, but then winter came...I stripped it down and she's getting new parts and paint. I'm really anxious to get her back together again with all the new goodies. I'm looking forward to reading a ton on this forum and learning something for you vets. I'm a sponge right now, so teach me, I'm willing to learn.

The first photo is the day I picked it up, and the second is how she looked before I tore her down for the winter.

Is that pipe legal? Looks like it might be a little on the loud side?

But if it is legal, I want one.

I spent far too much of my teenage years stopped on the side of the road chatting to Velocity Doctors.

Now I'm in my 50's I've realized it just a bit easier if you stay (slightly) on the right side of the law.

But I'd still like a pipe like that, that frightens small children and makes dogs lie down and show the whites of their eyes.

Maybe I should buy a Harley?

No, I've just checked; 10kg underweight, and I don't own a black tee shirt.

I forgot to tell everyone my name is Nick and I'm just outside Lexington, KY. I've got a laundry list of things I'm working on so I think I'll start a build thread in the fighter sections!

It's legal here in KY. Loud Pipes save lives...that's my motto It's loud and MEAN...but I'm building my own baffle for it because it's too much flow and I'm not getting enough back pressure. It's a custom pipe too, I made it out of some scrap 2.25 pipe I had.

Thanks! I'm in Nicholasville, which is basically Lexington now, just a few miles south. I know London very well, I'm no stranger to 75S.

Welcome aboard f2fighter600!

I really like the look of your bike. It has good lines in that form. You obviously have put some time & TLC into it already. It certainly looks better than $300 bucks now!

Congrats.
