I agree, MSF course is a good idea, especially in your case, not knowing how to ride. Your bike is a pretty powerful bike so respect it!! It is only a few steps away from being a race bike. Good choice on the bike and good to have you here with all the rest of the nutcases.[8D]

Congrat! I did the exact same thing. Saw it, liked it, bought it. If you got some gear already, i would take things slow. Just sit on the bike, and get used to the controls first. MSF is the best recommendation I can give you. I rode around my block a couple times and tried to learn by myself. But after the first day of riding at MSF, it was a world of difference. Ride within your limits ALWAYS =)

Everyone has given you great advice. Take the MSF class. Remember once you pass the class, you just get your license. That doesn't make you an expert. Take your time learning and practice what you learn in the class every day. Make sure you get some good gear. Jacket, helmet, gloves, boots, ect. Most importantly, have fun and be safe.
