Default Newbie In Jersey

Hey Guys,

I have been here for a couple of weeks now roaming around and checking out the whole site. Everything here seems very interesting to me. A lot of topic is being covered, which I like.
Well, I just wanted to drop in and introduce myself to you guys. Names Ted by the way. I’m 5 ft. 5 in. I’m from Northern Jersey (Morris County). Just to let you know that I don’t know squat about bikes yet. But I’m learning as I roam around here.
Anyways, just to let you guys know that Ijust bought a used 2000 CBR 600 F4 which has 10,064 miles on it and got it for $2,500. Is this asteal or what?I wanted this bikecauseI heard some goodthings about Hondas from other people aroundwhereI liveand inhere too. I went with my friends and brother (who himself has a bike) a couple of days ago tolooked at it and everything seemed to be in good working condition. We looked at the frame and everything. I will be picking it up this coming weekend. I can’t wait.

Like I said before I still a newbie when it comes to bikes. Do you guys tips or anysuggestions?Anything will do. Thanks guys.

welcome, and being a new rider myself, the bigest thing i can say is dont do anything that you dont feel comfortable with. do whatever it takes to build your skills and confidence. find a nice parking lot and get down your basic cluch, brake, and throttle skills. it will all come pretty quick

Thanks guys. I do appreciate it.

And yes… confidence is the key. I will always remember that when I ride. Well, I will be taking some beginner classes soon enough so I will be learning more on how to ride.
