hello guys. im hoping to get a cbr 600 soon. from what ive been told a f4i is a good bike to start on. i have some experience on a xr250r so i grasp the concepts but i look forward to finding a good used bike to start on.

im gonna go browse the forums now and try and learn something

Welcome to the family. Apples & Oranges mate. Dirt vs. Street.....not happening! Take your time...take a Motorcycle Safety Course (MSF preferrably). Trees and hills sit still....cars and people don't.
