Welcome to the board there is some great info on here. I hope you find what you are looking for. The F2 is a greta bike. Be safe and wear gear. Be calm and learn before riding hard.

As far as jackets go, sounds like you are doing the best thing already. Got to the different shops in your area and try some on and check them out in person. Pay attention to the thickness of the leather, the quality of the seams, etc. You want something that isn't going to come apart if you should happen to test it out. Also, make sure you have good gloves, boots, and riding pants (and obviously helmet). Your hands could lose quite a bit of skin in even just a low speed spill. Imagine running down the street in front of your house as fast as you can, then diving and sliding as far as you can. You would probably stick your hands out to cushion your fall. Now imagine if you were naked and all the other places you would lose skin. Jeans shred pretty quick. I'm not trying to scare you or anything, just trying to get you to think about it and wear ALL the gear ALL the time.

On yeah... Welcome to the site!

thanks for the visual! ya my old man is scared ****less that i want a bike.. four wheels is dangerous enough he says.. i have a roll cage in my 94 300zx twin turbo and even a custom roll bar in my 4x4.. and now i want something insanely fast with no chance for a "roll bar" so ya gear is top proirity... like i said b4 if any of you guys have a old bike laying around.. even beat up let me know... or maybe some plastics for a f2 would be great.
