hi everyone, im new on here, had a couple of cbr s and couple of other bikes, still relatively new to the biking world, love it though, just bought a p reg cbr on sunday, needs a couple of little jobs but should be ready in a couple of weeks, just one question for now (plenty more will follow!) i tried taking the bar ends off and the bolt on one of em snapped inside the handlebar, any advice for getting it out so i can fit new ones would be appreciated, thanks

Sears makes a set of ease-outs that you drill and then turn into the broken bolt with a reverse-thread. Then you tighten a lock-nut against the bolt end to lock it and turn the whole thing out. One note, There's a reason it broke in the first place. Always hose the stub with WD-40 (or similar break-free) and walk away! Give it 30 min to penetrate before you try the extraction.
You can also get new 'slugs' for the bar-ends. In that case, just drill out the slug with the broken bolt, and replace it. Do that, by drilling in a ring around the outside of the slug. Check though, some are held in with a spring-pin instead of pressure-fit.
Hope this helps, Ern
