Default new from vermont and have a question

I am from Georgia Vermont, are there any other vermonters out there?

Also my question is I am looking to buy a cbr 600 I have about 3500 give or take a couple hundred. It will be my first bike and I have found one in my area for 3000 but I don't know if it is worth what he is asking.

It is a 1994 CBR 600 f2, he is asking 3000, 20,xxx miles on it, never been layed down he claims in excellent condition and I am meeting with him Tuesday to see the bike in person, this way I can verify what condition it is in.

Do you guys think that this is a good deal or I would be getting ripped off?

I'd say look at local and statewide newspapers and compare prices, never easy to give advice on a specific area as it's all about supply and demand.
If you do decide to look at that bike, post up a question on what to look for on the Forum- I can't help there, don't know the F2 well enough.

Honestly, just post up a picture or two here and let us know what modifications it has. Tell us what you've been told about the bike and I guarantee you that you'll get good advice on whether it's an intelligent purchase.

Mostly folks other than myself, but I'll help if I can.

that is a bit too much. i got my 1996 F3 with 23k miles for $2000. but it was layed down twice.

for $3000 u should be able to get a 97-98 F3 with under 20k miles. those look better and have more power then the previous.

Okay so when I meet with the guy Tuesday I will snap a couple pictures and post them, KBB for my area says a 94 600f2 value is approx. $2500 but www.NADAguides.comsays that a excellent condition one is approx. $3300. Which one do you guys believe is most accurate?

Also this is the ad for the bike, right now I am first in line there is a couple other guys he says are interested but I get it first if I want it.
