Default NEw from utahh

Hi
New from utah.
Been riding dirt since i was 3. Decided I want to try out street bike. Got my bike permit and have been riding around my 500 dollar yamaha dt250 just cause it was 500 bucks and my dad bought it for a birthday present. hah.
just was wondering if you guys think an f4i is a bad idea for a first bike.

hey and welcome to the forums!! :-)

You just cant go wrong with an F4i really ... some will argue the power is too much but like all 600s they are ***** cats at low revs, if you have good self control and dont think the power band will catch you out then I would go for it ..if not sure try something like a 250 ninja or 500 first...

Heres the F4i forum ...

Lots of help and advice with running them in there ..

also come into Off Topic for fun, fights, and insanity ..lol

thanks for the welcome

I'll definitely keep the bike on low rev's till i decide I want to take it to my national guard drill weekend
which is only accessable via freeway
i love the f4i and really want one.
what would be considered too high of a price for one?

No, seriously thats one of those impossible to answer questions without a whole load more info like age/mileage and condition etc. also you guys over the pond have different prices for things than we do so...

Well, anyway I think you should go for one if thats what you want ..take your time and be patient there are lots around, well there are here anyway.. quite possibly I am not much help ..lol

Hope you find a nice one and stay safe!! :-)

Welcome to the Forum !
If you've been riding dirt, you'll have no problem with an F4i, but as Jules says (hi Kiddo) you need to keep the revs down arond 6000 until you get the hang of it. Give yourself time, read the manual, learn to do the work yourself and save LOADS of money......
Download the manual from my siggy.
