Default new to two wheels! just bought cbr 600f2 !!

well name's Dan im 22 and i live in northeastern ohio. I always wanted a bike and i finally got one! Its a 1994 cbr600 F2 , i got it for $500 its got around 13k on it, runs great and has a two brothers slip on! Now the only problem is that i have to buy fairings , headlight , gauges, and the mounting bracket underneath the gauges other than that the bike looks pretty decent and i love how it sounds. I was going to buy something newer but decided it was a bad idea this being my first bike and all. Well if you have any questions or have parts just let me know!

Welcome, Dan! Can't beat $500 for any bike.... let alone an F2 w/ 13k! Very nice. You might find a used motor for that, but dam... that's a deal.
I guess you have no excuse not to spend some cash on good gear...

Wish you luck on fixing it up how you like, man. Ride Safe!

Hey Dan, welcome to CBRF!! Sounds like you've got your work all cut for you. Once you get her back together, I sure you won't be disappointed. The F2 is a good bike to learn on and very reliable when maintained properly. Just take it easy at first and stay within your abilities. Have you considered signing up for the MSF?

Good luck finding your parts and fixing her up, and be sure to swing by the F2 section with any questions or problems you run into on the way.

Keep the shiny side up and enjoy the forums.

Hey, Dan!

NICE price on that bike! I just picked up my new 600RR from Ohio. That "gauge bracket" you're looking for is called an "upper fairing stay," and they're pretty easy to come across. The fairings themselves are going to be another (expensive) story, but with all the money you saved on the bike itself, it's worth it! Feel free to ask for help down in the F2 section; it's pretty packed in there so you'll generally get some quick responses.
