Hi, i recently buy a CBR1000RR 08 (USA Model), before i ride a 600 07 F4i. I'm posting from Madrid (spain), sorry, but i dont speak english a lot 
jaja. This bike is fantastic (only 500 miles whith "her"...). Now i'm looking for a gear indicator. I am going to investigate for the rest of the forum
