Default New from south florida 900rr

hey whats up guys, I have been lurking around here for alittle while and thought i would make it offical.

i recently purchased this 1993 cbr 900rr. it has a little over 17k miles and runs great. the bike has been customized by a previous owner that put in a lot of work to setting up this bike. the guy i got it from did not know any thing about it and only had it for a few mounths and needed money bad.

so since the previous owner could not tell me about any of the modifications done to this bike i have found this site very helpful in doing research.

here is what ive figured out so far and let me say... feel free to comment if you have any helpful info and let me know what you think.

94-95 upper fairing and headlight

single sided swing arm from unknown model honda

Marvic magnesium 17" wheels

arrow full dual exhaust with carbon fiber cans

ohlins rear shock with external resevoir

chafong racing rear sets

sprocket gear speedo conversion

tinted windscreen

repaint gloss black originaly purple

since ive had the bike ive changed the oil and flushed the front and rear brakes. plus a lot of cleaning as it was neglected by the most recent previous owner. i will be getting a new set of tires soon.

i will post some more pics soon.

Default another cbr

So less than a month ago i was borrowing my buddys 94 fzr 1000 to get my riding fix. he barley rides it so he is happy for me to take it out so the fuel stays fresh and running good.

I got the 93 cbr and i was so happy to have my own bike again.

what happened next i was not prepared for for. my pops sends me a link on C/L for a 99 cbr 900rr that a guy wants to trade for a pick up truck.
I have an old truck that was considering to sell to finance another project.

at first i dismissed the idea as the truck is a beeter and in my opinion of lesser value than the bike.
anyway i gave the guy a call and sent some pics of the truck and he was down for a heads up trade. the bike has some custom pieces that im not crazy about but i will be having some fun with this one. clean it up a bit, and put it back on the market.

1999 CBR 900RR
fresh paint
full yoshimura exhaust with carbon fiber can
polished aluminum grips (why?)
reupholstered seats, white embroydered "Rasta" on passenger seat. haha
double bubble windscreen
blue face gauges

here is a few pics.....
as always comments are welcome and appreciated. so many views and few posts

Put some black seats on that sucker and you'd be good to go. Sounds like a pretty solid trade.

That 99 900RR looks great, RASTA and white seats aside. Sounds like pretty good deal to me,I would pull the trigger on it
