Got the same bike with the same miles, looking for the same thing, but im pretty sold on the d&d. I wnat mine to be as loud as possible. might not be for you. I've been riding a yzf600r for 3 years now, so i have this kind of napoleon syndrome, and had to get a 05 1kRR and get the loudest pipe I could find. I have a yosh rs3 on my 600, it's nice, good sound, but too quiet for me. i have a friend with an r6 with a full d&d, LOVE it! but he thinks its too loud, and i think he's putting the stock one back on for a bit. i got my yosh used though, slip on, a bit dinged up on ebay for about 250. his dnd was 800 new.
also, i recommend NOT going with painted midpipes. the dnd paint has come off and begun rusting in some places on his. go with the stainless pipes, but still leaves all options open for the can.
just my $0.02
