@74demon. Claw hammer is a no no! I'll try taking it off and put it in a vice, that should do the job. I fell prettly lightly so there can't be much damage!

Once again, thank you all.

I have bent them back into place on the bike before. Just be careful.

Awesome taste in bike you have there which year and colour have you got? I only live down the road, I'll keep an eye out for you.

Sorry to hear you went down. There are some really rubbish, thoughtless drivers around.

Any chance of some pics of the damage?

Thanks 1Jordan1.

Hey butcherspencil,

I have a 2007 in red. I'll try get pictures up this weekend. It's too dark by the time i get home after work. Can't ride it at all now. The gears will not move into 1st or 2nd. Got a mechanic coming to check it out this weekend. Hopefuly back on the road by end of next week. Hate driving a car in peak traffic now!!!

Let me know where abouts you are, we can arrange a meet. I have a mate with a CBR600 and we're both without any biker mates.

Butcherspencil & Bowla,

Guys, I am just over the border in Northants and frequently head over your way on rides - I am at the bike museum wed & the NMA Alrewas on Sunday.
Shout and we can meet up.

Rick

Aww Rick, the bike museum is really close and I've never been before! I don't usually work wednesdays but I was coving a shift today. I'll be there on Sunday though with any luck

Bowla; I have the exact same bike in orange and I live in Coventry, just down the M69/Fosse Way! I've got my CBT buddy who bought a 500 (Suzuki I think) two weeks ago, but he's really shy bless him. We will have to meet up for rides and bring him out of his shell

Sounds good Rick, Butcherspencil!

Give us a shout when you both plan to be nearby and i'll get my mate out too!

New Dilemma, I need to get the bike to a garage now because the mechanic is not able to see me this weekend. I've got AA cover but they will not help me take the bike to the garage which is only 2 miles away!

Any ideas?
