Default New rider from Texas!

Howdy from Texas, just picked up a 99' CBR F4, was going to take it slow and learn how to ride for a few weeks then go get my Class M but everything's on hold for the moment.

Accidentally torqued my key too fast without turning my steering column and the key broke off in the ignition. I have since researched enough to take apart the fairings, open the ignition switch, somehow opened the gas tank cap and hooked the wire to open the back lock.

So now waiting for my parts to come in. First time to ride it before this incident happened, it was honestly very easy to ride the motorcycle to the park but I was a bit stiff. Once I got going it was like riding a bike but heavier. Can't wait to fix it and get back on it!

Welcome.
Sorry to head about your "incident". Hopefully you get it all resolved soon.
Try to relax a bit when you ride, and enjoy it. Being stiff sends to wrong inputs to the bike. Stay alert and ride safe!

Thanks guys! my parts come in, hopefully in a week or so. Just curious though a question for you Demon and Got. I purchased the CBR F4 with a bent rim, what will fit a 99 CBR F4?
I've read around and I get the feeling only 99-00 F4 rims will slide in and fit.. Thanks any input will definitely help.

I responded in your other thread. FYI F4 & F4i wheels are dif. F4i front wheel can be used on your F4 but only w/ F4i spacers & rotors...which = $$$. You're better off just getting another F4 wheel & replacing your bent one.
