Default New Rider From So. Cal

Hey everyone. New to riding and new to the forum. Learning to ride was tricky at first but I'm quickly getting the hang of it.

I got a 2006 CBR 600 RR

Welcome to the forum!
Congrats on the new bike.
Very good choice.

Is that F-14tomcat as in fighter jets?

Thanks, I love everything about it so far.

Yes the name is referring to the F-14 Tomcat fighter jet. No I'm not a pilot, just always liked the jet... although at one point I did seriously entertain the thought of attempting to become a military pilot, but ultimately chose not to. No regrets.

The F-14 is a sweet @$$ jet but a pain to work on.
I was stationed out of Miramar back in the day Aviation Structural Mechanic (VF-21)

The CBR is not to far from it.

Welcome! I think you'll find that everyone here is very helpful and kind.

For the longest time (about 2 years of my life, from the age of 3 to just before I turned 5) I watched Top Gun LITERALLY at least once a day.
As would be expected...I've loved the Tomcat ever since. They're so incredible in person.
Hope all is well!

Thanks for all the welcomes. I'm sure I'll be needing some help or advice sometime later on.
