Default new rider with my new/old 900rr

Hello all..

I bought a 95 900rr towards the end of last year with part of a 3700 dollar casino jackpot. Due to the economy and my ex-girlfriend, I lost a lot and didn't even own a vehicle anymore. And my company had been lending me a company pick-up for well over a year.
And then I had a great week at work(70 hours) and decided I can afford to gamble a hundred dollars at a local Indian casino here in the Phoenix area. Well, I won and walked out with every dime, which was a first for me. And decided I wanted a bike. I've always wanted one, but now was the time.
I found my bike on CL listed at 1900. I paid 1600(48K mi on the odometer) with a Scorpian helmet and nice, but worn jacket included.
I picked it up with my big truck and took it home. I unloaded it and stopped at a gas station to fill it up before proceeding to my GF's. So at this point I have less than 2 miles total on it and a drunk turning off a side road almost runs me over. I laid it down in the process of avoiding him. I was fine except being quite upset, and the right side mirror having broke. And of course the carbs got flooded out as the bike kept running while on it's side as I started to chase the guy on foot.
So anyways, the bike now has almost 58K miles on it and have done a LOT of work to it since. Thank goodness they're easy to wrench on I didn't expect to work on it this much..But don't regret it one bit.
when i first got her...yeah, I know...she looked like crap.

Same color, same junk plastics. But after a LOT of work, new parts, aluminum polish, and 2 cans of 97 cent spray paint.

Now comment away. But please remember she is my first, and I'm still learning. Thanks.

Just under 10K since October of last year. And that's with at least 6 weeks down time in all. Almost a month down time to replace a headgasket.
