Hello all, thought I'd drop in and introduce myself. My name is Harold Schmelzer, I'm 35, and live in Gresham, Oregon. I just bought my first bike, a 97 600F3. As of Tuesday, I'll have had it exactly one week. And that's also all of my riding experience, except for the class I took to get my endorsement. So I guess you could say I'm THE definition of a "newbie". I'll do searches as much as my sanity will allow, but please forgive me if some of my questions sound amateur-ish, because they are.

Welcome to the board! Post up some pics of your new ride when you get a chance. This is a reasonably layed back forum so don't worry about the newbie questions ... much better to ask than take a chance on screwing something up.
