Default New Rider/builder from the Northwest

whats up CBR forum! my names Vince, im from the columbia river gorge, WA. Just bought my second bike, 95' CBR600 F3. (first was a 94 VFR750). i loved the VFR, gotta love that V-4 sound. it was a lil heavy so i sold it and got this cbr for 1000 bucks. starts and runs great, i always loved naked bikes, so my streetfighter build begins... here she was the day i bought her, i will be starting today...first thing to go is this awful subframe...some paint, just general stuff, anyways, im stoked to meet some riders and builders, more pics to come....

gotta agree about the sub frame. pretty chitty looking. that exhaust should be crazy loud though. when i got my CBR the intention was for track days until i threw it away then the street fighter look and back to the track. for now i just ride it and make plans. time to break out the TIG welder and make a sub. wish you lived closer so i could help you out.

Yeah, so I finished my subframe, no tig tho, I just have a little Lincoln mig. I cut it off around where the stock sub originally came out, used square tubing instead of the round pipe. Easier to mount bracketry and stuff. It came out pretty good, I decreased the subframe angle almost ten degrees. A lot more comfortable. The old angle looked to "german". I also painted the tank and tail silver. Looks decent. I'll get some pics up, I'm stoked how it came out, I'm takin her in for new rubber and some fork seals.
