Default New Rider from Az.

What's goin' on guys? Nice to finally be able to say I own a bike. I've wanted a bike since as far back as I can remember. My girlfriend and I just bought an '04 CBR 600RR that we both love so far and glad we got it. I'll post some pics of it here in a bit. Looking forward to lots of great new experiences.

Pic 2: Later that evening (where I become a dumbass)... overly excited I completely washed the 600 and put ARMORALL on the tires... Yes I was a dumbass.

Pic 5: During day 2 my buddy comes over to demonstrate the basics. He did the right thing and yelled at me for cleaning the tires and wiped them down a little... but not enough. He's never dropped a bike and it wasn't really his fault... the rear tire still came out from under him. DO NOT ARMORALL YOUR TIRES! I know... an idiot could've told me that. He ended up with some minor road rash but he was ok. Oh well, that's why we bought one with jacked up plastics anyway. Plus it came with a brand new set that we can still put on.

Welcome to the site Omega. Have the two of you thought about taking the riding course together?
Congrats on the new bike. And remember to ride within your limits. This is one sport that you don't want to rush the learning process.

Thanks guys for the welcome. Glad you like the bike. Back to what you said EPN, We've actually both already paid for the class and we're going on the 28th... just next week and I can't wait.

My girlfriend is looking for some other female riders and I noticed there's a female forum here. I'm going to try and get her to join.
