new rider
hi, after visiting the forum for months I decided to become a member I am 22, never been on a bike before and I've been wanting to get a sport bike since I was 14, and for the past year I have been seriously thinking about buying a 2005 cbr600rr this winter for my first bike. But I still don't know if I should get one for sure because there are way too many cars on the road(specially in northern Cali) and a lot of stupit drivers...(dumbass drivers, drunk drivers, crackheads on the road and pple that just don't care about us on the road and you know...) and pple say that I could get hurt or worse or get tired of riding. What do you guys think? any advice will greatly be appreciated. thanks.

RE: new rider
You won't get tired of riding. You will find yourself riding the long way everywhere. I'd consider something besides a new 600 for your very first bike if you are in an area that is unfriendly to motorcycles. For the first few months you have to learn how to read the road and the people on it without worrying about throttle/brake control of a 100+HP almost race ready machine. Good luck.
