New Rider - 1st CBR

Funny story,as everyone says - each person has their bike. For instance, my roommate has his 07 R6 which fits him perfect, my Dad on the other hand has his 05 C90 Boulevard...

I on the hand, now have me a 2000 CBR600 F4... Saw it at a local cycle center, hopped on to see how it felt and it was PERFECT. Now being this is my first bike, I'm buying it with 12k miles on it for 4500 out the door with free helmet, jacket, gloves, and frame sliders thrown in. I'm beyond excited, today was 70+ here in Connecticut and all my friends went out for a ride!

I'll post pictures once I get it! Any tips for a newbie rider? Ride safe! Have fun!

congrats on the bike.i just bought my first bike a 96 900rr fireblade.it's a ton of fun to ride.from one noob to another,if you've never rode a streetbike before, take it slowly.ride streets that your used to before venturing out.it's worked for me and i've got almost 200 miles on my bike.have fun and keep it shiny side up man.

If you haven't heard it yet I'm sure you will, find a take a MSF course. Significantly reduces your odds of becoming a statistic. Enjoy your new ride man, just take it real real easy till you get used to it. Your most important safety feature sits between your ears, use it while you ride, at all times.
