i too! Had an epiphany a couple years back and now i have few bikes after a 15-20 year hiatus.. i wish i hadnt stayed away so long, but the last couple of summers have been incredible..
buy yourself some really good street gear, can and will def save yourself alot of pain, especially now that it probably wont be you at fault, its everybody else out there in lala land, watching tv and immersed on their cell phones while driving..

Not quite there yet.....I turned 35 this past Monday, same the day the bike arrived. Its really funny how it all worked out and how it came to be. In less than a week though I was able to get the motorcycle safety course completed (required here by the great state of Texas) and my license for it in less than 5 days. Rode it this morning for about an hour while it was quiet out there. SO nice to be on a bike again and just putting around! Track days are in the future but not any near future that is for sure. I have a lot of relearning to do and am excited to get started on it!

im sooo jealous you live in texas.. im up here in boston and if i was to brave the cold today, i would have to suit up for 28 degree weather.
anyway it will all come back to you fairly quick, seeing you'll probably ride all winter..

Put another 30 or so miles on it today. My forearms are a bit sore but Ill live hahaha.

Rode for 3 hours today and put on right at about 90 miles. What a day to ride. Perfect weather and just a bit overcast at the end.

Im finding myself very stiff wanting to enter the turns. Are there any ways to practice loosing up before making the turn in? I understand I need more time with the bike and in due time Ill start to feel its quirks.

Making hairpin turns, where are you looking while making the turn? Im looking up and out of the turn while doing it but find myself wanting to look down to watch the road 0-10' in front of the wheel at times to check the road. Also this is the first time ever on this road. Never got out of 3rd gear and never went above 45, most turns were 15-25mph
